Chinese Sewing Basket Dyed Purple with Glass Beads, 5.5" diameter
Vintage—Chinese sewing basket, 5.5” diameter at top, approximately 2” tall. Reeds are dyed a rich, dark purple or mahogany color. Top detail features the classic rust/orange thread with orange, blue, aqua, and yellow glass beads as well as a coin and tassel knot (tassel fringe disappeared long ago). Signed by maker inside. Color has faded slightly on top (purple is richer on the underside) and a few reeds have very light damage, but overall in Good condition.
